It’s nearly here, the keenly anticipated successor to the current PSP 3000. Rather than go for the obvious option of calling it the PSP 4000, Sony have opted for the name PSP Go!
Full details are expected to be announced by Sony at the upcoming E3 Expo in June 2009.
At launch, the PSP Go! Console is expected to have a larger screen than the PSP 3000 and a screen resolution of at least 800×480, which will help with those wishing to watch movies on the new PSP. The PSP Go! is also expected to have a slide-out panel that will house the PSP controls. The new PSP Go! is also expected to lose it’s UMD drive when launched as Sony move towards games being downloaded rather than bought on hard disc format.
