PSP Go Console

Well folks, it’s unofficially official .. the new Sony PSP console will be announced at the forthcoming E3 Expo and it will be called the PSP Go! .. but we knew that anyway.

Engadget have reported that a credible source has confirmed the news ahead of the official press event, and has also confirmed that the new PSP Go! will indeed be void of it’s UMD.

Confirmation too that the PSP Go! will have 16GB of internal memory, built-in Bluetooth and a memory slot of some description.

Launch dates are yet to be confirmed but are expected to be in the Autumn, just in time for Christmas – no surprise there then.

What may be of surprise though is that the PSP Go! is expected to sit alongside the PSP 3000.

Please note that these specifications are unconfirmed by Sony at this stage and are still speculative.

• 3.8-inch display (resolution unknown)
• 43 percent lighter than the PSP 3000 console
• 16GB of Flash storage
• Bluetooth built-in
• No UMD drive
